reduction in project completion time or when the client calls for
a single point of contact, Design & Build (Turnkey Contracting)
is the most appropriate solution. In relation to the conventional,
architect led contracts; D & B contracts are less adversarial.
The clients deal with one party for both design and construction thus
the management responsibilities are not divided. Moreover, the timesavings
in the overall project duration can be passed onto the clients due
to design and construction overlap.
